Veterans Services

One of the four pillars of the American Legion is Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation.
To that end, we provide this information as a resource to our members and fellow veterans.
Post Service Officer: We are in the process of filling our Post Service Officer position. Once the PSO is ready to begin their service, we will provide details on how to contact them for assistance. Thanks for your patience.
Important info:  The Post Service Officer (PSO) is not a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) employee/representative. The PSO is not an accredited VSO (VA/IDVA representative) and, as such, is not authorized to act on behalf of (represent) claimants, file claims on behalf of the claimants, or adjudicate claims in any manner. The PSO serves solely to provide information to help veterans and their dependents receive their earned benefits. The PSO is not responsible for claims processing and determinations, nor are they allowed to voluntarily undertake such responsibility.
